During my Christmas break I have barely worn any makeup at all – I have literally worn a dab of concealer here and there and I have been good to go.With my last remaining days off from my ‘fulltime employed job’ I decided to de-clutter my makeup stash and bin a few of my makeup items which were way past there useby date! yuck!
One of the items in need of replacing was my mascara.
When shopping for mascara I normally gravitate to the Maybelline ‘Great Lash’ mascara as to the honest I have never had a reason not to. However today I took the time whilst strolling through Superdrug to notice just how many other brands of mascara were on offer. Average price for a mascara in the UK these days can be anywhere in the region of £5 – 20.
I stumbled upon ‘ Longer Lash Waterproof mascara’ by Collection (Previously known as Collection 2000).
At a mere £2.99 this mascara would definitely be considered a budget mascara but I was intrigued to see how I would get on using it. I decided to give it a try and opted for the colour Brown/Black.
I have naturally fine, short eyelashes with a slight curl (although you can barely see them in the pics!)
I will see how I continue to get on using this mascara throughout the month, as I am generally a creature of habit it will take a lot to convert me to another brand long-term.
Have you recently changed to a new brand of mascara – how have you found the transition?
