BEAUTY: Travel Essentials – Caudalie Review

As mentioned in my previous post I went on holiday. Just before I was due to travel I was on the hunt for some travel essentials (handcream, face spritz, lip balm etc) to help me maintain an air of pristine during the flight.

I visited my all time favourite beauty store SpaceNK, as I had heard a lot of good things about the Caudalie Beauty Elixir which is supposed to combat skin dehydration on the flight, but is also good at undoing the effects of dryness due to air conditioned environments.

So in mid purchase literally as I was just about to insert my debit card into the card machine I spotted the Caudalie Travel kit.

Caudalie products are made in France, and what I like more so about them is they contain no nasty ingredients such as Parabens! They also don’t test their products on animals – a win in my opinion!

Naturally I opted for the travel kit as it contained the same size product I was going to buy at the cost of £11.50, the travel kit cost me in the region of £15-20 (sorry can’t find the receipt). All products contained with the kit are the correct size and comply with flight rules – no more than 100ml.

So here what the kit contains:

Beauty Elixir, 30ml – I love this face spritz it has a mint, lemony, herbally smell which to me is very uplifting, and really made my skin feel refreshed during the flight and also when used on holiday.
Vino Source Moisturizing Sorbet (face cream), 10ml – To be honest I haven’t used this moisturiser yet so would be unfair to comment on how it faired with my skin long term, I have tried it on the back of my hand it feels like a lightweight moisturiser and leaves the skin feeling soft and non oily after use. I will have to give a more in depth review when I start using it.
Makeup Remover Cleansing Water, 50ml – This product is very much in the family of micellaire waters, and whips off makeup and especially mascara extremely well.
Hand and Nail Cream, 30ml – This cream smells like oranges, very zesty! It’s a light to medium weight cream which makes my hands feel well moistured with no sticky residue.
Lip Conditioner, 4.5g – I love this lip balm! Firm favourite, I can’t really describe the smell although I can say it smells like it has hints of lemon scent, again very moisturising and I didnt need to keep reapplying it as it lasts ages my lips.

All in all I’m very pleased with this purchase, it most likely would have cost me a lot more for all of these items (or similar) if I had bought them as separates.

Most of the products in the kit, will be repeat buys!

Have you tried the Caudalie range – which products are your favourite?

Thanks for reading!
